(i feel kinda dumb now, because the rain has receded to a walkable rate. i'm willing to bet there's more on the way, though, and there's no way i could get to the workshop on time now. i have plenty of other work to do this afternoon anyway.)

jennaxide is living a double life. she is actually karl rove's niece. while she keeps this fact carefully hidden, she secretly loves her uncle karl. in fact, he is her favorite uncle. so, twice a year (on the 4th of july and on christmas day), jennaxide artfully disguises herself as a fine, upstanding republican (both so that her friends won't recognize her and so that uncle karl won't guess the truth about her actual lifestyle and political beliefs) and flies to texas for a visit with uncle karl. uncle karl knows nothing about her WTO and burningman antics, and she carefully hides the truth from him, while also hiding her uncle from her fellow hardware campers. uncle karl always ends these visits by giving jennaxide ten crisp $100 bills, nine of which she distributes to homeless people in seattle along with her sensible shoes, her talbot's suit, her brown wig, and her l.l. bean waders. then, naked, jennaxide walks home, where she donates the tenth $100 bill to AIDS research.

what jennaxide doesn't realize is that both uncle karl and her friends are onto her. uncle karl is secretly plotting to have a device implanted into jennaxide's brain that will enable him to spy on and hopefully to sabotage her left-wing causes, especially burninman. meanwhile, jennaxide's burner friends are planning to kidnap uncle karl, to smuggle him into the next burningman festival, to stuff his head full of drugs, and then to turn him loose with a camera mounted to his shoulder that will webcast his every move.

how long will jennaxide be able to maintain this double life? something has to give...
