new (old) name!

djstitch gave me the idea.
get a new username.
it has always bothered me that my livejournal didn't have my old old old userid from way back when i set up my very first identity on the web. it's funny that i'm so attached to the name; it's kind of a dumb name i think. i came up with it on the spur of the moment--the guidelines said "8 letters, all lowercase" (i think i started out with an aol account, then set up an account on a small vermont ISP, then yahoo, then...everything else). when i first set up this journal, LJ wouldn't let me use this name. someone else apparently had it, though there wasn't an active journal with that name. it has apparently been decomissioned, and now it's mine! worth the $15.

i also upgraded to a paid account. i want to post pictures...and do other stuff...so there you have it.
