heh. here's a critique of a web quiz designed to answer the question, are you a feminist? well. are you, punk?

LOL--i took the quiz, just for grins, and because i wanted to see the "100% feminist" picture to which twisty refers in the above critique. (fyi, i answered "strongly agree" to every question. talk about a slanted quiz apparatus. i'd assume that you could go through and check the same radio button for some other degree of agreement/disagreement in order to obtain some other coefficient of feminism.)

are you curious? here's the 100% feminist picture. she looks like a character on "the L-word." (i.e. man-friendly tuff girl. i'll bet she has an impeccable manicure underneath those boxing gloves, to match her cosmo-esque, pouty glossy lips.)

Curiosity compelled me to answer "strongly disagree" to every question just to see the picture they came up with for 0% Feminist. Naturally, I came up 100% feminist when I took the quiz honestly.

she looks like she could be the same model, though, just dressed and posed differently. smiley instead of pouty. drying a dish instead of modeling boxing gloves. unbespectacled. but still with those perfectly arched brows.

i am given to understand (twisty apparently took the quiz several times) that the 87% feminist picture (?!) shows a pink heeled shoe on a soccer ball. suggesting...that a high-ish quotient of feminism implies some kind of athletic and sartorial flexibility, i suppose? or freakishly strong ankles.
