p.s. how are you and your kitties doing? you all escaped fire damage, i trust?

and...are all the fires out now, or just contained, or what? what's the likelihood that it's over for the year, at this point? how close did the burn zone come to you?

My kitties and I have survived the fires with nary a whisker singed...

I believe the fires are currently either out or mostly contained, and that most places are out of any immediate danger. However, many houses and other buildings were lost to the conflagration, resulting in a few deaths as well. Luckily, because I live 2 blocks from the beach, the fires didn't even come close to being at all dangerous for me or my feline family. The weather today was windless and more humid than it had been so it was favorable as far as firefighting goes. The stadium sent all the refugees that were camped out there back to their homes, signaling an end to this current chapter of fires in San Diego -- we hope.

Abi's looking well. I haven't seen her in ages.
Oddly enough, Houser has one tiger-striped cat (Tiger) and one black cat (Monkey) and in a few months we'll be living with them.
