READING: Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro. Also Biocapital: The Constitution of Postgenomic Life by Kaushik Sunder Rajan.

WEARING: Jeans, black maryjane shoes, black socks, lightweight gray sweater over a black t-shirt, and the lovely bracelet that [livejournal.com profile] twocrows gave me. It's got jade in it.

PLANNING: tonight, I'm going to the College Inn and I'm not sure what shenanigans I'll get up to after that. Tomorrow I believe I am attending a party. The rest of my time this weekend will probably be taken up with grading.

KNITTING: a second rendition of the Lace Ribbon Scarf from www.knitty.com. (Sorry, don't feel like doing the whole linky thing.) I'm still working on my Green Gable sweater from the Zephyr Girls, and also my Endpaper Mitts by Eunny Jang. Um....I think that's it. I have a couple of projects lined up in the immediate future, too, but I haven't started them yet so I'm not going to post about them yet.

That's it for me today. Have a great weekend, everyone!

do you do knit commissions? I want a fuzzy bright orange hat . . .

the short answer is no, i don't knit commissions. i have a hugely long queue of projects, and my knitting time is really limited these days. right now i have enough stuff queued to keep me knitting for about 2-3 years. LOL.

this isn't to say that i won't decide to slip a fuzzy orange hat into my queue and knit it for you as a random gift at some point--i just can't commit to a particular timeline, is all.

that said, there is a doppelganger floating around out there of the bright orange hat i knit for chris. (he lost the original, so i re-knit it.) if you can find it, it's yours. :-)

What do you think of Never Let Me Go?. I read it at least a year ago and it keeps coming back to me.

so far i like it--i love ishiguro anyway--but i am barely into the book, like fewer than 20 pages in. i've had almost no time to read this past week. i should be able to dig back into it soon.
