well shit. apparently my cousin gordon just died of liver and kidney failure. he was only 45 or 46.

on top of that, my mom left me two nearly identical voicemails about his death, like 10 minutes apart. in her second message it was very apparent that she didn't remember leaving the first one. (sigh)

it's so weird. noone in my immediate family even knew he was sick...but i guess we wouldn't necessarily have known. our families were close we were when we were all kids, but not so much, recently. still, it's a shock. he was a really nice guy.

thanks...it's more weird and shocking than a loss, b/c he was so young. not to downplay it or anything, but our families haven't been close for about 10 years, and i don't think i've seen gordon since...probably someone's funeral, and i can't even remember whose now. maybe my uncle mac's, which would have been in the early 90's.
