saturday night

heading back to seattle in the morning. my flight leaves at 7am, eastern time, and i arrive in seattle at 11:06, pacific time. i'm really, really looking forward to getting my 3 hours back. :-)

i've had a good visit. it was great to see everyone, to reconnect with my family, and to see GR again. it looks so different, now that i've been living elsewhere for so long (i last lived here in 1994). i wonder what vermont would look like to me, if i went back there to visit. i wonder what it will be like to move away from seattle, too. i feel very rootless, sometimes.

anyway...so it has been a good visit, but it has also been emotionally difficult and exhausting. it was hard, saying good-bye to my parents earlier. i don't know when i'll see them again.

As for that drink...iftar (breaking of fast) times are all after 7:00 for the next week or so, so we'll have to make it a late meet-up if you're still up for it. Looking forward to seeing you.

yes, after 7 is fine; i'm definitely up for it. i'll be in touch in a day or two, once i've got my bearings back and stuff--i just just just got home a few minutes ago. it's nice to be home! but i have much to process...
