vague empty space...

i want something. i don't know what. it's not food. it's not beer. it's not new clothes or jewelry or electronic gadgets or a dream house. it's not world peace (though that's always on the wish list somewhere). i have a wonderful partner, excellent friends, satisfying work.

what is it? where can i find it?

i don't think it's cookies. i don't think it's a novel. i don't think it's office supplies. i don't think it's a sweater or pajamas.

maybe it's a garden. maybe it's a guitar. maybe it's an epic walk. maybe it's mayhem.

it's probably a dog.

When I get like that, I find that I am usually dehydrated and/or lapsing in taking my iron supplements.

But a dog would probably help, too. :-)

I agree it's probably a dog. They seem to do a great job at filling vague empty spaces. I have one, and I still get those empty feelings sometimes, and cuddling with his furry self helps. I really liked the things you enumerated though... esp. office supplies and mayhem.

office supplies are a big favorite of mine. i lose hours just looking at pens and notebooks.
