lmao...I laughed heartily reading your entry...As i've said before religion and science are two entirely different things...and one cannot prove or disprove the existance of god...Science and religion are two completely separate things...And I do not believe that we should change the science curriculum to suit/ mesh with a particular religion...its such a stupid concept...can you imagine...science in western and eastern countries?? i once went to a meeting at uni called 'Unintelligent Design' and yes I believe that ID just an underhanded way of preaching religion top the masses, and passing it off as real science which is evidence based...
And I can tell you its quite sad when you come across children who actually believe in the idea that the world was created in 7 days...When I was on prac I had a student who wouldn't accept the idea of evolution...I remember marking her exam...There was a question on the theory of evolution, and I recall her saying something about the fact that it doesn't exist and that the theory is entirely wrong...She didn't do too well in that test...I also recently found a whiteboard in one of the sport staffrooms in the school I recently taught at that had the words 'Evolution is Evil' written on the board...I quickly rubbed it off...Made me think of the Scopes Trial...
