oh that's too funny. the pet food store recommended a valerian root extract for jester, to help him chill out and stop meowing so much (didn't work). a few days ago i hit upon the solution for him: they make these little pillows for cats, out of fake fur and stuffed with catnip. jester and his catnip "body pillow" have been inseparable, and he's been quiet for 3 days straight. so maybe i should buy a person-sized catnip "body pillow" for myself, lol.
it's funny, though...i still haven't slept, and i'm still wide awake.
