wet paint

well, i now have a pink bathroom. i was expecting to paint it some shade of cool-ish off-white, but my building manager had this nice shade of light pink that looks surprisingly nice on the walls. given that i'm not all that into pink. it's amazing what a difference it makes in there.

while i love a good home improvement project as much as the next person (as next as the much person?), i'm happy it's done. it took longer than i expected. the paint was failing badly in several spots, and when i scraped it, the difference between where it came off and where it stayed stuck was too great for the random orbital sander to rectify...so it was time to smooth things out with a little spackle. then...sand again. then...mask. *then* prime (yesterday and into last night), and paint (today). actually, it might not be done yet. i might end up putting on one more coat, especially in the shower where i had the mildew problem. that will have to wait until monday, cuz i'm going to a cocktail party tonight (cock + tail = cocktail?) and i'm spending the day tomorrow watching movies. yeee-ha!
