RWP

READING: the amber spyglass, which is the third book in the his dark materials trilogy by philip pullman. the first book in the series is the golden compass, which is soon to be released as a feature film. i'm also reading a book called alien chic: posthumanism and the other within by neil badmington. (not badminton, alas--i don't believe the book contains any references to shuttlecocks.) this book was recommended by one of my committee members, to show me an alternative way of theorizing posthumanism (alternative to katherine hayles, donna haraway, and scott bukataman, specifically).

WEARING: currently...saturday at 11:15am michigan time (EDT), 8:15 seattle time (PDT)...i'm wearing jeans and a stretchy wine-colored t-shirt. no shoes. badly chipped turquoise metallic toenail polish. gray underwear and a tan bra.

PLANNING: no plans for today. i'll probably try to meet up with one family member or another later on, but i think i'm going to spend the day reading, alternating between the two abovementioned books. i'm in michigan for another 8 days--i fly back on sunday the 16th.
