arguchikthe plumbing gods seem to be angry with me. or my apartment. last week my bathroom sink backed up and spilled my upstairs neighbor's toothbrushing and shaving water all over my bathroom floor. nice, huh? i went upstairs and got him to stop running his faucet, and the sink sat there for the rest of the day...so completely blocked up that the water was still poised to run over the side like 8 hours later. the plumber came and snaked it out...so it's ok for now. but this happens about every 3-5 months, so i expect he'll be back before too long.
and *this morning* i went to take a shower, and the bottom of my bathtub was caked with blackish brownish yucky stuff. guess what? that drain backs up periodically too! isn't this fun? i had to leave (sans shower!)...but apparently the plumber fixed it while i was gone, cuz the tub is clean now, and there's a sparkly new metal sewer pipe cap in the floor between the tub and the toilet. at least i think it's a sewer pipe cap... i usually put my plunger over it, but now that it's so shiny maybe i'll let it be a bath accessory.
grading's done! so now i'm going to spend some time rearranging stuff in my apartment. i just got a new mini-couch at a garage sale the other day...gotta make it fit.
anyone want an ugly, cat-clawed, fur-covered old orange cat chair?
