sopranos

i just finished watching disk 2 of the sopranos first season (i watched disk 2 awhile back, and am just returning to it in my netflix queue). wow. i'm very impressed with the acting, particularly gandolfini's.

one weird thing: usually when i watch TV shows on DVD, i blip past the opening credits, but with this show...i find the theme song and the highway scenery sliding past to be quite mesmerizing. i actually like it, especially at the very start when the music is sort of quietly starting out. sounds like a leonard cohen song.

I, too, like the Sopranos very much. A friend gave me the box set of dvd's of the first 6(?) seasons, which I have sitting by my tv as I write this. I have yet to watch an entire show from the set much less an entire dvd or a season.
It's a very strange phenomenon: before, I seemingly couldn't get enough of the show, and now that I have at my fingertips the ability to watch as much as I could possibly want, forgetaboutit, I don't watch it at all.
Is it me or just another manifestation of the Human Condition?

Right, it must be me.
But I like the theme music also, and the local footage of NJ Turnpike, Pizzaland, etc.

soundtrack is the band A3 from their Exile on Coldharbour Lane album. whole album is awesome. I'll put it on later tonight or tomorrow sometime.

oh cool, you have it! i found out the band's name last night by searching youtube for a vid of the opening credits, but i had never heard of them before.

yah...i've been to NJ, possibly even to that part (i think???) but not for quite awhile.
