RWP

READING: almost done re-reading "nietzsche, genealogy, history" by michel foucault. just started geoff ryman's novel was. it's fascinating--3 intertwined stories, one a depression-era story about the actual dorothy on whom the wizard of oz character was based; one a modern-day story about a guy named jonathan who is dying of AIDS and is researching a bunch of old americana (including finding judy garland's childhood home); and i think the third is the story of judy garland (which i haven't encountered yet). it's a cool novel so far. a couple of weeks ago i read his novel air which was great.

WEARING: currently, tan cargo capris and a black tank top, no shoes. i'm going to change shortly because i'm sure it will be chilly tonight.

PLANNING: going to see a SIFF film with my friend L tonight. not sure what after that. no firm plans for the weekend, but i'm sure it will be action-packed. on monday i'll be doing drop-in office hours for students (of the "bonus," finals-week variety), and on wednesday i get final portfolios from my students. thereafter i'll be working on final grades until they're done. i have plans for next friday to meet up with a fellow TA to grade together.
