actually, i think the phenomenon of asian women with caucasian men is more a function of stereotypes about asian women as "meek" and "submissive," which, apparently, white "manly men" seem to value in a partner. HA! i defy anyone who thinks asian women are meek and submissive, to go have a conversation with my ex-mother-in-law! she is awesome...but she's the furthest thing from meek and submissive. actually, i can say the same thing about my ex-sister-in-law...
