birthday party redux

ok, here's the final agenda. i settled on the barca lounge just because it's big and easy and i couldn't settle on anyplace else. if bad juju hadn't moved, i might have picked that, but i haven't seen their new space yet (it's over by neumo's...the last time i was over thataway was for pommes frites, and all the bars were already closed).

so this is friday, february 10th:

7:30: dinner at maneki, 304 6th ave. s (in the i.d.) i have a reservation for 10 people in one of their tatami rooms. so far 9 people have rsvp'ed, so there's room for 1 more...

9:30 or thereabouts: i'll head over to barca, and hope to snag a table or one a those nice circular booth thingies. if i'm really lucky maybe i'll get the couch area.

11:30 or so...? i am hoping at least one kind soul will want to go dancing with me. i don't know where, yet. we'll play that by ear.

I got the "ahoy hoy" thing from "The Simpsons"...Mr Burns always says "Ahoy hoy" instead of "Hello"...hehe and I thought it was cute...What u say about it being the first words spoken through the telephone makes sense...i guess they use it in the Simpsons to show how archaic Mr Burns is!!! hehehe

aha, that must be where tracy got it to begin with--she is a HUGE simpson's fan.

i would be, if i had a television. or, i used to be, when i *had* a television anyway.
