it holds a full fluid ounce, which is quite a lot. i also don't think it would leak explosively--there are little air holes just under the rim of the device (at least on the diva, can't speak for the keeper) so no pressure will build up. i think it would just leak at the same rate as your flow. honestly, though, i don't think it would leak at all. the fit is pretty snug, so it would probably just make your vagina fill with blood back to your cervix. most women don't bleed enough to fill that whole space, though. hopefully you'd remember it before *too* much time had passed. :-)
