Yeah, we've got a pic at the shelter of one of our alumni bunnies stealing a piece of fruit off of a kitchen counter.
I know that others view rabbits very differently than I do, and a lot of other cultures -- and even other subcultures here in the U.S. -- do view rabbits as things, as meat, not as creatures with feelings. And generally I just accept this; I am not going to change them any more than they could change me. I just feel bad for them, you know? The rabbits, I mean, not the people who breed and eat them.
