no, i'm not having panic attacks. i'm experiencing severe anxiety, definitely, but not panic, and it's causing an actual arhythmia, not a fast heartbeat. she said that i'm having premature...either atrial or ventricular contractions, i can't remember which. the problem is that it's happing a LOT. it's not just once in awhile. i went to give blood like 3 weeks ago, and the guy who was doing the pre-donation interview was taking my pulse and he counted over 10 irregular beats in the space of a minute. at that moment, i wasn't aware that my heart was beating arhythmically, but it apparently was. most people only notice an arhythmia when they're sitting or lying quietly, and not when they're out walking around or in a noisy place, etc., but it still might be happening at those times. she said if it hasn't cleared up within a month of when i consciously cut back on stress and caffeine, she's going to have me wear a holter monitor (that's a portable EKG machine) to get a better picture of what's happening.
