my writing is a garbled MESS today. i cannot properly express very basic intellectual ideas, much less string them together into a coherent foundation on which to ground a cogent argument, to SAVE MY LIFE.

i believe an alchemist has transformed my gray matter into lead (which is another kind of gray matter, after all). commence reflection upon the properties of lead...

dense.

uniform.

cold.

soft.

metallic.

melts at a relatively low temparature.

poisonous.

gets your hands grubby when you handle it.

impervious to readiation.

gah! i don't have time to take a rest, unfortunately; lots to do, lots to do....

the difficulty is that i'm working on something that i really don't enjoy working on; i have to do it and i don't want to, and it has become this enormous THING standing in my way.

yeah, she's a bitch. to add insult to injury, she speaks with the voice of my mother--as filtered and contorted/distorted by my own memory, of course.

if you want us to trick her, we're going to have to be really sneaky...she has eyes in the back of her head as well as in the sides, and she'll see us coming and read our intentions before we're even aware of them ourselves.

and that means no writing for the odd aquarius? what's annoying is that i constantly feel like meaning and cogency are right on the tip of my tongue/fingertips, but when i try to put it into actual words, i cannot.

i'm having the same frustration with a text i'm trying to read, actually. i go back and forth from writing to reading as frustration dictates...and that frustration is mounting. i have spent all morning on this, with the odd LJ break (of course), and i have managed to write 2 pages and to read 24 of the 34 i need to finish. 34 pages of theoretical reading should normally take me about an hour and a half, two hours at most (i'm a slow reader), but today...........interminable!!!!!

mercury retrogrades happen a couple times a year and bugger up communication and electronics. like clockwork. at my job, every single retrograde--email goes down, digital cameras don't work, we all get in fights, attachments are lost, software fritzes, everyone feels confused. it should be dying down in about two weeks. :D

Just wanted to say that I know this feeling, and I also hate it. A nap sometimes helps, but sometimes it's just something about me the whole day. The next day I'm fine and never really figure out what was wrong with me the previous day!
