if you're getting ready to do something and you're already asking yourself, before you've even begun, "why am i doing this? what do i hope to gain?" and you really don't have an answer...perhaps it's best to wait. just a little while. overnight. a week. either you'll think of a good reason, or you'll realize that whatever it is isn't worth doing after all.
