my evil, evil neighbors K and M (to whom i refer affectionately as "the girls") introduced me to an evil, evil product known as mochi ice cream. it's available at trader joe's. the mochi part is a doughy, rice-based substance that you can get by itself, or wrapped around various things. this particular product is mochi wrapped around ice cream, and shaped like a ball about the size of a lime. i tried the strawberry flavor and the mango flavor. just imagine it...it is ice cream you can eat with your hands, without getting messy (except for a little rice flour residue). i now want to go to trader joe's and fill my freezer with this product.

henceforth, "the girls" will be known as "the mochi pushers." mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmochi. :-d

hey, the_kender, mr. bubble tea afficionado extraordinaire, have you tried this shit? next time we get together...it's a date with some mochi. (since you seem to have permanently disabled comments in your own journal, i am forced to ask you these questions in my journal. when will you be in town again? think some mochi might cheer you up? it worked for me...)

I have no plans on Saturday currently and was supposed to be going to Seattle. I don't want to go Seattle on only one plan on Friday, so if you want to absorb my Saturday, I could use it.

I'm a big fan of mochi ice cream -- we'll have to hit up the Uwajimaya Village so you can see the couple of makers and the more than two flavors that they have out there ^_^ Plus we can hit up Dim Sum since the place I wanted to take you to is in the ID.

So if your Sat isn't busy, call me directly so I can change my weekend plans swiftly and let the person I was going to give a ride know.

i *do* have plans saturday night. i'm going to see carlotta's late night wingding with my friend L. i have other free time this weekend, though. i'll call you tonight (thursday).

p.s. does the dim sum place make veggie options? i don't eat meat...i'll eat the shrimp and fish stuff, though.

Looks like my Sat just got re-taken too and I'd be leaving on Sunday around noon anyway.
