arguchikgave myself a pedicure today. it felt decadent and luxurious, to focus exclusively on my feet for about an hour (ok, not exclusively--i did other things while waiting for the cuticle remover to do its thing, and while waiting for the polish to dry). i now have healthy toe cuticles and a second coat of metallic lime green polish drying on my toenails (with those blue foamy things keeping my toes from rubbing together until the polish is dry).
silly girl stuff. i pleases me to do shit like this, though. even though sandal weather isn't quite here yet (imo--some people have been wearing their flip-flops all winter), and i'll be wearing wool socks and full-on shoes for awhile yet, i will like knowing that my toenails are all pretty under there. meanwhile, a lovely sharp knife nestles in my pocket...it's for cutting apples, i swear. (grin--now where's my strop?)
the sky is blue today, and i can see the olympic mountains from L's living room window. i've been reading and writing all morning (aside from the pedicure), and have actually written 4 pages that aren't complete crap. go figure. we'll see how much of it survives the revision process...
back at it. i want to get in a little more writing time before i turn to the stack of portfolios i need to finish grading today. grades are due tomorrow...
i'm thinking of spending some time, later this week, going through and adding tags to my LJ posts. anyone have advice for me? do you find the tags helpful, on your own blog, or on the blogs of others? what do you mainly use them for?
