why are baby polar bears so cute? this one makes me want to cry, though, because he was rejected by his mom...so if he weren't in a zoo, he would have died. then again, if his mother weren't living in a zoo, where the conditions are much too warm for polar bears to live comfortably (refrigerated enclosures and artificial snow notwithstanding), she might not have rejected him.
